Marco Azzani – Prime Video Italy country director – announced the new season and the platform’s offerings, from series to movies, without leaving out entertainment and sports shows.

For shows produced in Italy by Amazon Studios, Nicole Morganti – Head of Italian Originals, introduces two names from Italian cinema, Luigi Lo Cascio and Kim Rossi Stuart, respectively starring in two series. The Bad Guy, starring Lo Cascio and with the signature of Ludovica Rampoldi at the screenplay; Kim Rossi Stuart is instead the interpreter of Everybody Loves Diamonds (in the cast Anna Foglietta and Gianmarco Tognazzi), centered on the biggest real theft in History, which happened at the Diamond Center in Antwerp.

Staying with seriality, Morganti also announced Prisma the new series signed by Ludovico Bessegatto and Anna Urciolo: some clips will premiere at Giffoni and the first two episodes exclusively at the Locarno Film Festival, then on the platform from September 21.

Also announced is the Christmas special of the hit program Lol – Who’s Laughing is Out, which will have the length of a movie and feature Prime Video brand ambassador Fedez in the cast with Mara Maionchi and Lillo. Third season for Celebrity Hunted that announces, among the protagonists Luca Argentero and “the couple” Marco D’Amore and Salvatore Esposito, also in action with the help of Vinicio Marchioni and Francesco Montanari.

In 2023 the second season of Dinner Club will be broadcast with Carlo Cracco and a respectable parterre: Paola Cortellesi, Antonio Albanese, Luca Zingaretti, Marco Giallini, and the confirmed (from the previous edition) Sabrina Ferilli and Luciana Littizzetto.

Lots of space for comedians: Frank Matano will be on the air with Prova Prova, Sa Sa a show that stems from memories of vacations spent as a child by his grandparents in the States, along with Maccio Capatonda, Maria Di Biase, Aurora Leone. Double date with Lillo in collaboration with Lucky Red: the series Sono Lillo where he plays an actor whose only success is given to him by the character of Posaman, with guests such as Corrado Guzzanti and Anna Bonaiuto; a comedy special with sodalist Greg, as well as the film Mai Dire Kung Fu, Grosso Guaio all’Esquilino.

Also announced are a new film with Maccio Capatonda; a documentary on Kobe Bryant’s childhood in Italy; Ipersonnia with Stefano Accorsi; and the Christmas holiday film, Improvvisamente Natale with Diego Abatantuono.

For sports, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Alessandro Nesta will join Prime Video’s team of commentators for the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League season, starting Aug. 10.
