Streaming platform Paramount+ has announced the global launch of internationally produced original content.
Series titles produced outside the United States will be available globally as early as September: this is the case with the British drama The Gold, which will be released in Paramount+’s international markets with all episodes, and on September 17 in the United States with the first two episodes available immediately, followed by weekly releases.

In October, the Korean crime-thriller Bargain will debut worldwide except in South Korea, while the second season of Los Enviados, the channel’s most-watched Spanish-language series in the United States, will land across the Paramount+ network by the end of this year.

Other announced series to be broadcast exclusively on the international streaming service include British drama Sexy Beast and South Korean series Queen Woo and A Bloody Lucky Day.

“We know there is strong interest in high-quality programming from around the world, and we are excited to leverage Paramount’s global scale and expertise to create a series of new hits and franchises with global appeal,” says Tom Ryan, Paramount’s president and chief executive officer in charge of streaming, aiming to make the platform a leading global streamer.
