It was held today at MIA 2020 GREENLit, the showcase of the Drama section dedicated to the preview presentation of the titles of the next TV season.

As usual, the session was reserved to those projects produced by Italian companies through international co-productions (or with international appeal) that have received the “Green Light” from at least one broadcaster or digital platform.

Seven titles were presented at this year’s edition:

  • The Other Tosca;
  • The Knights of Castelcorvo;
  • Christian;
  • Commissioner Ricciardi;
  • Hearts;
  • Natale in Casa Cupiello;
  • Romulus.

The showcase was opened by Gaia Tridente, Head of Drama Division, Lucia Milazzotto, Director of MIA and Giancarlo Leone, President of APA. A large number of producers and artists of the sector was also present, including Sergio Castellitto and Lino Guanciale.

Lucia Milazzotto talked about the challenges of this edition of MIA: “We are very happy to see people in presence, it was a bet that we made not only with the support of APA and ANICA, but also thanks to the confidence of the public. Imagining a market that lived in an integrated way was not easy, but we succeeded”.

“The Italian product in recent years has grown a lot, not only in quality but also on an international scale. It isn’t just local, it crosses borders because it is the type of result able to speak to everyone”, pointed out Giancarlo Leone closing the greetings.
