The 57th edition of La Semaine de la Critique in Cannes is just around the corner, set to begin next Wednesday 9 of May. Let’s have a look at what’s to come:

The 57th edition of the Cannes Semaine de la Critique will take place this year from May 9th to the 17th, 2018. This event runs in parallel to the Cannes Film Festival and it was organized for the first time in 1962 by the French Syndicate of Cinema Critics. Its main objective is to bring new talents to light. In fact, the contest only admits debut and second features.

The international jury presided over by Norwegian filmmaker Joachim Trier, will be composed of actress Chloë Sevigny, the Argentinian actor Nahuel Pérez Biscayart, the Italian Eva Sangiorgi and the French critic Augustin Trapenard.
