Once again, MIA proves to be a strategic hub for promoting and developing projects: production is underway on the new psychological thriller series titled Harmonia (previously known as Costa Armonia), originally selected in 2023 for the MIA Drama Co-Production Market & Pitching Forum.

The six-part drama is set in a luxury wellness retreat controlled by AI; the shoot is taking place in Athens, Greece. The series is produced by Warp Films—the company behind Netflix’s Adolescence—alongside Athens-based Neda Film, in partnership with the Greek public broadcaster ERT and ITV Studios, which will handle international distribution.

The cast features Niamh Algar (The Iris Affair) as Shona Casey, legendary French actress Fanny Ardant (The Woman Next Door) as the resort’s previous proprietor, and Chloe Lea (Dune: Prophecy) playing a young employee who becomes the dangerous focus of the AI’s obsession.

The series is created by Peter Carlton, Lefteris Charitos, Amanda Livanou, and Hanna Jameson (also lead writer). Lefteris Charitos directs all six episodes. The executive producers are Peter Carlton and Peter Balm for Warp Films; Amanda Livanou and Isavella Alopoudi for Neda Film; and Lefteris Charitos, Hanna Jameson and Niamh Algar.
