Inspired by Sex and the City and Bridget Jones, the Extravergine comedy series, co-produced by Fox Networks and Publispei by Verdiana Bixio, will go on air this fall on Fox Life (Italian Sky channel 114). The series, which is expected to last ten episodes, is featuring the versatile Lodovica Comello (who hosted the Italian TV programs Italy’s Got Talent and Singing in the Car) and will be directed by Roberta Torre (Tano da morire, Angela, I baci mai dati, Riccardo va all’Inferno). Extravergine is about the story of Daphne, the editor of a women’s magazine website that is almost invisible to her colleagues. Like many of his peers, Dafne suffers from the lack of emotional and professional stability. But even more her suffers from her virginity, so, between misunderstandings, gaffes and twists, and thanks to the advices of her friend Ginevra and her colleagues Violante and Samira, Daphne will succeed in the mission – far from easy for her – of losing her virginity at the age of thirty. Therefore, as she was “loser” who risks to be fired, she becomes an experienced woman, so much that she will be the sex columnist in the magazine she works for.
