Eagle Pictures and Leone Film Group have acquired Italian rights to distribute Kathryn Bigelow’s new feature, Detroit. Leone Film Group’s Raffaella Leone stated that they closed the deal with Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures, the production company of the film.

Leone Film Group has a deal with Eagle Pictures under which the two companies divide their costs and profits for distribution of titles on all Italian platforms. Films they have already co-released include Hacksaw Ridge and John Wick: Chapter 2.

WhileDetroit’s Italian release date has not been set, the film will be released in the U.S. theatres on August 4.
