Today, 7 September, opens the second session to participate in the call for applications set up by the Italian Ministry of Culture together with the French National Film Centre to support film and television initiatives between Italy and France.

The €1,000,000 budget was obtained through the synergy between the Direzione Generale Cinema e audiovisivo and the French National Film Centre. This sum will be used to support Italian-French co-productions, including feature films, TV dramas, documentaries and animation works in the development and production phases.

The total fund will be distributed as follows:

  • €300,000 for the development and pre-production of feature films and TV series;
  • €700,000 for the production of feature films.

The productions, which have to be of Italian nationality, have to comply with certain requirements to be eligible for the call for proposals, among which, for cinematographic works, they must include at least one producer with a legal base in France and one producer with a legal head office in Italy.

Regarding the production quota of the work, this must respect a minimum of 20% and a maximum of 80% for film productions; in the TV sector, the ceiling is a minimum of 30% and a maximum of 70%.
