New opportunities are on the horizon for professionals in the Italian film and audiovisual industry, thanks to the agreement signed between the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture and ICE – the Italian Trade Agency for the promotion and internationalisation of Italian companies.

This three-year Memorandum of Understanding aims to boost the international promotion of the industry across foreign markets.
The agreement was signed by Mario Turetta, Head of the Department for Cultural Activities at the Ministry of Culture (MiC), and Matteo Zoppas, President of ICE-Agency, in the presence of Undersecretary for Culture Lucia Borgonzoni, who reaffirmed MiC’s commitment to expanding development policies and attracting foreign investment in support of the audiovisual sector. The initiative builds on the 2024 agreement between MiC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

This strategic partnership will see the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of MiC contributing its expertise and services to support initiatives for the audiovisual sector through ICE’s extensive network of offices abroad.

The agreement includes the launch of training projects, business outreach programs, tailored events both in Italy and internationally, and operational plans aimed at strengthening relationships with international trade associations, industry stakeholders, and organizers of festivals and markets.
