Due to coronavirus, DG Cinema MiBACT announces an extension to three competition notices in order to assist the audiovisual sector.

While coronavirus has caused a heavy crisis in all aspects of society, DG Cinema MiBACT announces an extension of the deadlines to the following: DG Cinema Mibact Italia – Francia 2020 Edition, competition notice for Development of Cinematographic Works in Co-Production between Italy and Tunisia  and the Competition Contest for Impact Assessment 2020.

The deadline for the DG Cinema MiBACT Italy-France 2020 Edition for co-produced projects of cinema or television contents and for the coproduction of cinema contents is extended to 30th April 2020. The time remains tha same, 23.59. Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée (CNC) and MiBACT have decided together on the extension. The combined budget of the contest amounts to 500.000 euros, to be divided between the two components.

Also the competition notice for the Development of Cinematographic Works in Co-production between Italy and Tunisia is extended to 30th April 2020, at 23.59. The fund for the co-development Italy and Tunisia has a total budget of 280.000 euros, given by DG Cinema MiBACT and Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image of Tunisi. Projects must have a duration of 52 minutes in order to participate. In addition, they must be distributed in theatres as their first distribution. They can belong to fictional, documentary or animation genres.

Lastly, the Contest for the Selection of an operator able to technically support DG Cinema and to produce an economic and industrial impact assessment. The deadline is extended to the 3rd April 2020, although the time remains the same (13.00). Also the deadline of the annual essay by the selected operator is extended to 31st July 2020.
