CNN Max, a new streaming content offering will be added to Max, a Warner Bros Discovery platform.
A daily flow of news from the US network and international feeds along with some original content will be the main components of the service, which “will provide even more quality choice for Max customers, who will be able to easily keep up to date with what’s happening in the world, all within a seamless content experience,” said JB Perrette, CEO of Global Streaming and Games at WBD. “CNN Max is distinguished,” added Perrette, “by a 24/7 news offering taken directly from the world’s leading news organisation, offered on a streaming platform with a much younger audience than traditional TV.
CNN’s leadership team in a joint statement said that “a new platform and a new audience will benefit from CNN’s advantage in international newsgathering and breaking news coverage and analysis, providing consumers with a never-before-seen way to find, interact with, and learn from CNN’s journalism”.
The service will be available on all Max subscriptions, but it is not yet clear if there will be an added cost.
