The results of the CIPS call for proposals “Cinema and Audiovisual at School – Projects of National Significance” have been published with reference to A.S. 2024-2025. The call, promoted by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education, is aimed at promoting image education in Italian schools in order to foster activities in the territory.
A total of EUR 2.3 million has been allocated to 11 projects and the average contribution will be EUR 206,000. Eleven projects ‘of national relevance’ that will involve activities in all regions of Italy for a total of 435 municipalities involved and 12,508 teachers. The distribution of the schools, half of which will not be located in central areas of the region, that will benefit will be 1,318, 32% in the north-west, 25% in the Mezzogiorno, 18% in the central regions, 17% in the north-east and 8% on the islands.
The funded projects involve all levels of education: 32% of the activities are aimed at primary schools; 20% at secondary schools; 22% at secondary schools; 16% at pre-schools; 9% at comprehensive schools.
