Film culture has fully entered the educational offerings of schools of all levels, and thanks to CIPS, National Plan Cinema and Images for Schools, it becomes an educational tool that can facilitate learning and be used cross-curricularly.

For this year, a budget of about 22 million euros is expected to be made available to schools through new calls for proposals, which were illustrated today at a press conference by Undersecretary for the Ministero della cultura Lucia Borgonzoni, a guest at the space managed by Cinecittà for the Venice Film Festival. The budget represents 3 percent of the Cinema and Audiovisual Fund allocation, as stipulated by Law 220 of Nov. 14, 2016, “Discipline of Cinema and Audiovisual.”

CiPS is sponsored by Ministero della cultura – Direzione Generale Cinema e Audiovisivo and Ministero dell’Istruzione e del Merito.
