The seventh edition of the Carlo Bixio Award, a competition for young writers organized by Rai, APT (TV Producers Association) and RTI (Reti Televisive Italiane), has started. To participate, applications can be submitted until September 10th, 2018.

The Carlo Bixio Award extends the deadline for submission of editorial projects to Monday 10 September at 18.00. Therefore young talents, aged between 18 and 30 years, will have an extra week to present a TV series project with international prospects, according to the requirements and procedures provided by the call.

The Prize offered for this edition by RAI is divided into two categories: script and series concept. The winners will be awarded €10,000 and €5,000 respectively for a 12-month license agreement with Rai, which will also evaluate the possibilities of realization of the winning projects.

To participate in the selection, projects must be sent to the secretariat of the award in the TV Producers Association (APT), Via del Gesù, 62 Rome – 00186.

The selection of the projects is managed by a jury chaired by Gabriella Campennì Bixio and composed of: a representative from Rai and from RTI, Leonardo Ferrara, Francesca Galiani, three screenwriters, Ivan Cotroneo, Graziano Diana and Monica Rametta, and the filmmaker Francesco Vicario. The supervisions will be in charge of the Organizing Committee: Eleonora Andreatta (Director of Rai Fiction), Francesco Nardella (Deputy Director of Rai Fiction), Daniele Cesarano (Director of Fiction Mediaset), Giancarlo Scheri (Director of Canale 5) and Chiara Sbarigia (General Manager of APT).
