C EU Soon, the content showcase dedicated to European films in post-production looking for international sellers was held today, 11 October 2023, during the third day of the MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo.

Eight titles were presented in this edition. The 2023 C EU Soon finalists (among them, two debuts and two sophomores) have been chosen by an international selection committee composed of Aranka Matits, founder of Featurette, Jaume Ripoll, co-founder and editorial director of Filmin, and Pape Boye, founder of Black Mic Mac.

The selected films were presented by Francesca Palleschi, Head of Film and Deputy Director at MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo, to an audience of sales agents, distributors and professionals. The presentation was followed by one-to-one sessions.

Here is the list of titles selected this year:

BLUISH (bläu) by Lilith Kraxner & Milena Czernovsky, produced by Lixi Frank & David Bohun (Panama Film, Austria).

FOR THE LOVE OF A WOMAN (Per amore di una donna) by Guido Chiesa, produced by Iginio Straffi and Alessandro Usai (Colorado Film Production, Italy) and Marta Donzelli and Gregorio Paonessa (Vivo film, Italy).

LIONESS (Emalovi) by Liina Trishkina-Vanhatalo, produced by Ivo Felt (Allfilm, Estonia), Sebastian Weyland (Heimathafen Films, Germany), Guntis Trekteris (Ego Media, Latvia).

PERSONA NON GRATA directed and produced by Antonin Svoboda (Coop99 Filmproduktion, Austria) in co-production with Albolina Film (Italy).

SOUTHERN CHRONICLES (Pietinia Kronikas) by Ignas Miskinis, produced by Lukas Trimonis (IN SCRIPT, Lithuania and NAFTA FILMS, Estonia).

THE ANSWER TO ALL QUESTIONS (Oтговор на всички въпроси) directed and produced by Dimitar Kotzev (Kontraplan, Bulgaria).

THE FLAME OF A CANDLE (Sob a chama da candeia) directed by André Gil Mata, produced by André Gil Mata and Marta Lima (Rua escura, Portugal) and Clémentine Mourão-Ferreira (so-cle, France).

THE IMMINENT AGE (En vigília) by Vigília Collective, Clara Serrano Llorens & Gerard Simó Gimeno, produced by Vigília Collective, Laura Serra Solé, Pau Vall Capdet & Mireia Graell Vivancos (Ringo Media, Spain).
