Despite the arrival in Italian theaters of the latest Pixar-branded film Lightyear, the dinosaurs of Jurassic World: Dominion not let up and conquer for the third week in a row the first place at the box office, grossing in the last week the figure of € 1,056,614 for a total of € 6,290,541.

The scorching heat thus does not help the Toy Story universe spin-off, which nevertheless wins € 968,764 and postpones its assault on the top spot in the next week.

In third place it goes into high gear with Top Gun: Maverick, which gets another € 956,746, bringing its total box office to € 9,524,516. The 10 million in Italy is just around the corner for star Tom Cruise’s biggest hit, very close to a billion dollars globally.

Coming in fourth position we find the anime distributed in Italy by Nexo Digital Jujutsu Kaisen 0 – The Movie with weekly earnings of € 427,988 and managing to cross the million mark by grossing € 1,060,598. A result well beyond expectations, considering the period and the competitors.

In fifth position we find the first Italian film in the standings: this is Nostalgia, starring Pierfrancesco Favino fresh from his nomination for Best Actor at the Nastri D’Argento, which records a gross of € 90,777 bringing Mario Martone’s film, set in the Sanità district of Naples, to an overall result at € 1,191,790.

Sixth position for Esterno Notte – Part II, the second tranche of episodes of the series directed by Marco Bellocchio and centered on the 1978 kidnapping of Aldo Moro. The series will air on RAI networks in the fall and this second part earned € 78,979 in the last week, for a total of € 180,387.

The Other Side, distributed by BIM, is in seventh position and grossed € 66,136 coming in at a total of € 137,304, while in eighth position peeps the horror film Black Phone, which takes advantage of previews by registering € 48,835, awaiting the official release scheduled for June 23.

In ninth position we find the revived Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, now at the end of its run, but which convinces in the last week another 8,472 people to enjoy the big screen, grossing another € 48,495 at the box office for a total of € 13,642,734 and confirming its second place in the seasonal box office ranking.

Finally, tenth position for Luca and Paolo’s comedy entitled Il giorno più corto, which grosses during this week another € 36,831 for a total of € 105,374.
