Peaky Blinders and Taboo’s creator Steven Knight will bring to television Charles Dickens’ A Christmas’ Carol. BBC One ordered a three-episodes series which will be produced by Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Films, along with Tom Hardy and Dean Baker’s Hardy Son & Baker, after the great success of Taboo where Hardy plays the main role. The project will be aired in December 2019.

A Christma’s Carol is maybe the most famous Dickens’ novel and Knight, a great fan of the English writer’s works, is enthusiast of the project. Miniseries is produced, alongside Knight, Hardy, Scott and Baker, by Kate Crowe, Head of TV for Scott Free Film (speaker for MIA Market’s panel Powerful Women in Global Entertainment) and Piers Wenger, Controller of BBC Drama.
