Banijay has acquired the global rights to Stop the Train, a format created by Squeezie, further highlighting the growing convergence between digital creators and the audiovisual industry.

Originally released on YouTube in September 2025 under the title Qui réussira à stopper le train?, the 90-minute format features ten content creators competing in a series of high-intensity challenges aboard a moving train. Developed by Unfold, the project has generated over 15 million views, standing out as one of the creator’s most ambitious productions.

Following the acquisition, Banijay plans to develop international adaptations for both streaming platforms and linear television. Local versions are expected to feature region-specific digital talent, in line with existing adaptation strategies. The move builds on Banijay’s established track record in global format distribution, including LOL: Last One Laughing and Ninja Warrior, both successfully adapted across multiple territories and platforms.

The deal reflects a broader industry trend, with digital-native content increasingly entering traditional production and distribution ecosystems, opening new opportunities for cross-platform development and global reach.
