Alice nella città opens a whole new path dedicated to talent and its discovery. The formats that will be inaugurated are: Alice short film competition and Istant stories and Alice & Cinemotore Award.

Alice nella città (Alice in the city) is the independent and parallel sidebar of the Rome Film Fest for the younger generations. This year the Festival directed by Gianluca Giannelli and Fabia Bettini is renewed, confirming itself more and more laboratory and opportunity for meeting and training. Alice short film competition, in collaboration with Premiere Film, is an international competition dedicated to short films, enriched by a training campus for young directors and filmmakers. More than 330 short films have already registered for the Alice short film competition, but the deadline for registration is September 10, 2018.

Another format is the one dedicated to the stories written by the youngsters, to them will be addressed Istant stories and Alice & Cinemotore Award. In collaboration with the cinema portal Cinemotore, Alice nella città will launch a contest in search of new ideas. A jury composed of Manetti Bros (directors), Nicola Giuliano (Indigo Film), Paola Minaccioni (actress), Nicola Maccanico (Vision Distribution) and another member who will be revealed close to the event will decide the most interesting story that will receive – on October 27 – the Istant stories Alice & Cinemotore Award.

The contest is aimed at young people – children between 14 and 19 years of age of Rome and Lazio – who can send their story to the mail redazcine10@gmail.com until September 16. Alice nella città and Cinemotore will select the 10 most interesting stories and the creators will be able to participate in all the activities of Alice nella città including previews and Masterclass with Italian and international actors.
