The bilateral agreement between the Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, Chae Hwi-young, was signed in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France, on September 7th. This is a highly significant agreement for film co-production between Italy and South Korea.
Thanks to this agreement, Italy and South Korea will have shared rules for working together in film. The text aims to enable the creation of films produced by production companies from both countries, thereby bringing the Italian industry into dialogue with one of the most advanced film markets in the world.
The agreement is part of a broader effort to strengthen cultural ties between Italy and the Republic of Korea. During the meeting, discussion focused on supporting strong cooperation between the two countries’ film institutions and on creating opportunities for dialogue between companies in the sector.
