The Fiction Festival, organised by APA – Associazione Produzione Audiovisivi and the Italian Ministry of Culture, will take place between the cities of Rimini and Riccione.
The administrations of the two cities have received formal proposals to host the Festival, but already during the Venice Film Festival, Undersecretary for Culture Lucia Borgonzoni had revealed the Ministry’s intentions to bring the event to the Romagna Riviera.
The Fiction Festival will take place in June 2025 in the cinemas of the historic centres of the two cities, and will feature directors, actors, and scriptwriters of the main national and international fictions as guests, who will present their works and take part in screenings and meetings with the public.
The event will also be attended by major industry players, such as Netflix and Amazon, as well as institutions and trade associations.
