From June 3th to 8th 2025, under the Artistic Direction of Claudio Santamaria, the Milano Film Fest will be held. This will be a new festival aimed at bringing together the greatest faces of cinema and offering world premieres of films, TV series and special events.

This first edition is organised by the Fondazione Milano Film Fest, which brings together Il Cinemino, Esterni, Perimetro and Fondazione Dude. The board of directors is chaired by Laura Boy (Dude), vice-president Guido Casali (Il Cinemino) and directors Franco Gabualdi (Perimetro), Giacomo Faina and Luca Foschi (Esterni). In collaboration with the City of Milan, the new festival will be an immersive experience spread throughout the city with events in cinemas, squares and theatres.

The programme includes an international competition for feature and short films and two focuses: one on photography and one on TV series with the return, after three years, of the Serial Awards, prizes dedicated exclusively to Italian serial reality. Starting in 2025, city realities will be able to enrol their events in the festival programme and in the coming weeks the call for feature and short films will be open.

In collaboration with Vertigo Film Fest and Longtake, the artistic director will be joined by: Laura Boy, Guido Casali, Paola Ruggeri, Sebastiano Leddi, Beniamino Saibene and Andrea Chimento. Programming is curated by Agata De Laurentiis, the founder of Il Cinemino.

Lastly, Fabrizio Piscopo, former Managing Director of Class, Rai Pubblicità, Sky and Discovery, will be the Media General Manager for the event’s partner affiliation.
