News in the Amazon Prime Video household with the acquisition of Bray Film Studios, a UK studio complex where major titles such as ‘Ring of Power’, ‘The King’s Man’ and ‘Rocketman’ were filmed.

‘With Bray as our creative home in the UK, we are committed to deepening our relationships with the UK’s creative community, which is rich in world-class storytellers and creative talent of all kinds. The acquisition of a studio with such a storied heritage not only allows us to produce more films and television programmes in the UK, but also unveils a wealth of opportunities in the local community in terms of jobs and professional training at all levels of the production process,’ said Mike Hopkins, head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.

Amazon, on the other hand, stated how ‘the acquisition includes approximately 53,600 square feet of stage space on five stages, 77,400 square feet of workshops, 39,400 square feet of office space, 182,900 square feet of backlot and 156,000 square feet of parking.’ And again, ‘Bray has previously supported Amazon MGM Studios productions with studios, offices and production facilities, beginning in January 2022, when it became the production home for the second season of the worldwide hit series Prime Video Ring of Power.’
