The annual Filming Italy Venice Award once again took place this year, an event conceived and directed by Tiziana Rocca, known for its international scope and strong commitment to supporting women in cinema.
Held as part of the 82nd edition of the Venice International Film Festival, the event welcomed the participation of Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, ambassador of the initiative, actress Matilde Gioli as its official patron, and Italian and international film icon Franco Nero, who serves as the Honorary President of the award.

This edition saw a remarkable number of women honored. Among them, American actress Alicia Silverstone received the Filming Italy International Award, while Margherita Buy was awarded the Venice Achievement Award. Emanuela Fanelli was recognized as Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for Follemente; Donatella Finocchiaro received the award for Best Lead Actress in a Biographical Film for L’amore che ho; Barbara Chichiarelli was honored as Best Lead Actress in a TV Series for M – Il figlio del secolo; and Rocío Muñoz Morales received the Special Theater Award. Paola Minaccioni and Valentina Cervi were awarded the Women of Italian Cinema Award.

Other honorees included Ferzan Özpetek (Best Director Venice Award for Diamanti); Christian Clavier (Venice Achievement Award); Claudio Santamaria (Best Lead Actor in a Biographical Film for Il Nibbio); Fabrizio Gifuni (Best Lead Actor in a Dramatic Film for Il tempo che ci vuole); Giacomo Giorgio (Best Lead Actor in a TV Series for Belcanto); Alessandro Siani (Venice Award for Io e te dobbiamo parlare); Rocco Papaleo (Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for Follemente); Sergio Castellitto (International Award for Conclave); Nino Frassica (Best Lead Actor in a Comedy for Arrivederci tristezza); Sebastiano Pigazzi (Young Generation Award for And Just Like That); Marco Giallini (Dramatic Recognition Award).
