She is the founder of Mounia Aram Company, a Paris-based business that champions African animation and amplifies underrepresented voices in global media. Through her company, Mounia works to build bridges between cultures, promote authentic storytelling, and empower African creatives to take their place on the world stage.
In 2025, Mounia published her memoir, Route Détournée: De l’Ombre à la Lumière (A Detour: From Shadow to Light), in France. The book chronicles her extraordinary personal and professional journey—from her beginnings in Casablanca and Trappes to becoming an international speaker, mentor, and cultural innovator. Her story is one of resilience, identity, and purpose, inspiring readers to embrace their truth and follow unconventional paths.
Mounia is widely recognized for her expertise in strategic leadership, inclusive storytelling, and global media trends. She is a sought-after keynote speaker and workshop leader at conferences and industry events around the world. Her engagements span the United States, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, where she delivers impactful talks on equity, empowerment, and entrepreneurship in the creative industries.
She currently serves as Africa Council Chair at the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, where she contributes to research and advocacy for gender representation in media. She is also a board member of the Diversify TV Awards, which celebrate inclusive content and creators in the global television industry.
In 2022, Mounia received the Black in Animation Award for Cultural Innovator, honoring her pioneering efforts to reshape perceptions and bring African stories to international audiences.
