Elettra Canovi is Director of Local Original Productions for HBO Max Italy, where she leads the creative and production strategy for original series in the Italian market, with the goal of combining local identity with international ambition.

Previously, she was Head of Development at Indiana Production, where she oversaw the development and delivery of both films and series, including The Leopard and Sei nell’Anima (Netflix), Unwanted (Sky Studios), and Your Honor (Vostro Onore, Rai Fiction). She first joined Indiana as a Creative Producer, following projects throughout their entire lifecycle — from early development to executive production.

She began her career at Cattleya, playing a key role in the editorial development of major series including Gomorrah, Suburra, ZeroZeroZero, and the feature film The Immortal. She also gained international experience in the U.S., collaborating with Movie Package Company in Beverly Hills and working on independent productions in Los Angeles.

Her work sits at the crossroads of storytelling, editorial strategy, and production development, with a strong focus on the ever-evolving landscape of scripted content in the streaming era.
