Roberto Cicutto is the new president of Eurimages, The Council of Europe Fund for Film and Audiovisual Co-productions. Cicutto is a film producer and distributor, and has served as president of the Venice Biennale and Cinecittà.

“I would like to express my congratulations to Roberto Cicutto for this prestigious appointment in recognition of his professionalism and expertise. I wish Cicutto well in his work, certain that he will do well,” said Nicola Borrelli, director of the DGCA of the MiC.

Lucia Borgonzoni, Undersecretary of State for Culture, also commented on the appointment: “His appointment as Eurimages president is truly news that fills one with pride, an election that confirms our country’s leading role in the game for the development of the European film and audiovisual industry.”

Cicutto succeeds Catherine Trautmann as chair of the Fund and the term will last four years.
