57 projects participated in the Premio Solinas – Documentario per il Cinema 2025 – in collaboration with Apollo 11 – La Casa del Documentario, an initiative that supports the writing of feature-length cinematic documentaries by assisting in the early stages of writing and development. After reviewing the submissions, the jury – composed of Fabrizio Berruti, Laura Buffoni, Mattia Colombo, Enrica Colusso, Ilaria Fraioli, Peter Marcias, Gianfranco Pannone, and Marta Tagliavia – selected 13 finalist projects, which will move on to the second phase of the competition.

The finalist authors will have the opportunity to present their projects to the jury in a Pitching session, where the winners of the Solinas Award for Best Documentary for Cinema (€4,000) and the Valentina Pedicini Development Grant (€2,000) – both sponsored by SIAE – Italian Society of Authors and Publishers – will be announced. The award ceremony will take place in September in La Maddalena.
