The Molise Film Commission finally becomes a reality. The long-awaited project was officially announced during the Alta Marea Festival in Termoli on July 26, 2025. The presentation was led by Fabio Cofelice, Regional Councilor for Culture, alongside the team behind the initiative, composed of actor Marco Caldoro, international production manager Marilena La Ferrara, assistant director and producer Giacomo Di Niro, and director Pierfrancesco Citriniti.
The role of the organization will be to promote the region as a natural set for audiovisual productions and to enhance its cultural and tourism heritage. This represents a major opportunity for Molise, which—through the visibility provided by cinematic language—will have the chance to strengthen its identity.
While the statute is expected to be approved by the end of 2025, the Commission has already expressed its intent to go beyond the local territory. Strategic connections have already been established with key figures in the industry, including Maurizio Gemma (Campania Film Commission), Jacopo Chessa (President of the Italian Film Commission and Director of the Veneto Film Commission), Antonella Miletto (Valle d’Aosta Film Commission), and Fabio Abagnato (Emilia-Romagna Film Commission).
