The city of Matera will host a special section of the Experimental Cinematography Center of Rome. €3 million were allocated.

The Experimental Cinematography Center of Rome Foundation is made up of two sections: the National Cinema School, that has over 80 years of dedication in the formation of excellency for cinema professionals, and the National Film Library, one of the most ancient and important film archives in the world. The Lucan section of the center will be hosted in the former school “Alessandro Volta di Matera” where directing and acting courses will be held.

In detail, €2,4 were made available to equip the Alessandro Volta educacional facility. On the other hand, €70.000 were allocated to the “Cinemappa” (Cine-map), a project that aims to promote Matera as a cinematographic set showing the more than 50 film locations across the “City of Stones” that have been used since the 40’s.
