Is it possible to preserve creative independence when working on large-scale films for a global audience? Writer, director, and producer Edward Berger has built an international career capable of combining a strong auteur vision with highly ambitious productions. Following the worldwide success of All Quiet on the Western Front (2022), produced and directed for Netflix and winner of four Academy Awards, Berger directed Conclave (2024), his first English-language feature film.
