The Venice Film Festival is just around the corner, and this 82nd edition (August 27–September 6) brings with it a new feature: the first-ever Golden Globes Impact Prize for Best Documentary. This award, supported by Think-Film Impact Production and presented by the Artemis Rising Foundation during the festival, will honor a documentary from the official Biennale selection—whether in or out of competition—that best addresses a relevant social issue.
The winning project will be selected by a jury composed of Helen Hoehne (President of the Golden Globes), Regina K. Scully (Founder and CEO of Artemis Rising Foundation), Geralyn White Dreyfous (Producer and Co-founder of Impact Partners), Jharrel Jerome (actor and musician known for Moonlight and When They See Us), Teo Yoo (actor known for Past Lives and The Recruit), screenwriter Misan Sagay, director Edoardo Ponti, and Danielle Turkov Wilson, CEO and founder of Think-Film Impact Production.
The winning documentary, chosen based on its social relevance, journalistic integrity, and artistic creativity, will receive a $10,000 prize (approximately €8,600) and a collaboration with Think-Film.
