Starting from February 27, A Story for EMERGENCY is back—an opportunity for young writers to create a short film concept centered on the rejection of war. A chance to bring an idea to life and present it to industry professionals.
The project, in collaboration with Giffoni Innovation Hub, Mosaicon Film, and Rai Cinema, will award the winning concept with the production of a short film by Mosaicon Film and exclusive distribution on Rai Play and Rai Cinema Channel.
The initiative is part of EMERGENCY’s R1PUD1A campaign, which reinforces the principle of Article 11 of the Italian Constitution: rejecting war as a means of resolving conflicts.
In previous years, the competition has led to the production of four short films: Ape regina, Capitan Didier, Battima, and Yuri.
Participants have until April 7, 2025, to submit their original and unpublished proposals, with a maximum duration of 15 minutes. A panel of experts—including director Margherita Ferri, film critic Beatrice Fiorentino, actor Vinicio Marchioni, and representatives from EMERGENCY, Rai Cinema, Mosaicon Film, and Giffoni Innovation Hub—will evaluate the submissions.
Participation is free. To apply, candidates must complete the form available at call.giffonihub.com/una_storia_per_emergency by midnight on April 7, 2025.
