Rodrigo Teixeira is a film producer and founder of RT Features, which since 2006 is one of the main audiovisual production companies in Latin America and the most prominent Brazilian film company in the international market. Its films are internationally recognized, having been nominated for over 50 awards – including 9 Oscar and 6 Golden Globe nods.
It has produced, among other films, Armageddon Time (2022), by James Gray, Bergman Island (2021), by Mia Hansen-Løve; Invisible Life (2019), by Karim Aïnouz, winner of the Best Film award at Un Certain Regard of the Cannes Film Festival; Ad Astra (2019), by James Gray, with Brad Pitt as the leading actor; Wasp Network (2019), by Olivier Assayas, starring Penélope Cruz, Gael García Bernal, and Wagner Moura; The Lighthouse (2019), directed by Robert Eggers, with Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson, winner of the top critics’ prize at the Cannes Film Festival’s Directors’ Fortnight; Call Me By Your Name (2017), by Luca Guadagnino, winner of the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay; The Witch (2016), also by Robert Eggers; Frances Ha (2013) and Mistress America (2015), both by Noah Baumbach with Greta Gerwig; and Love (2015), by Gaspar Noé.
In 2024, RT Features released the acclaimed I’m Still Here, by Walter Salles: Best Screenplay at the Venice Film Festival, Golden Globe for Best Actress – Drama and winner of the Academy Award for Best International Film, also nominated for Best Actress and Best Picture.
