IDM Film Commission Südtirol will support ten new European project received through the second call of 2025. Among these 5 come from Italy, 3 from Germany, 1 from Poland and 1 from Nepal. The news of this year concern the field of animation. In fact, many applications for animation short film  have arrived and two of the ten selected projects are part of this category. Their realization will involve professionalism and local companies’ services in the works on set as well as in post-production phase. Approximately 47 days of filming are expected on the territory.

Among the supported project in pre-production phase there is Tania (temporary title) by the German director and screenwriter Elmar Fischer, who writes the script with Thomas Brussig and Jörg Tensing; the mistery horror Wolf (temporary title) by the director from Alto Adige Nancy Camaldo. The production Elfenholz Film of Monaco will set a part of the story in Alto Adige.
Schattenberge is a documentary written and directed by the director of Bolzano Veronika Kaserer. The film is produced by the German Gebrüder Beetz Filmproduktion.

Among the projects supported in the pre-production phase there is Me, You, and Gods by Francesca Scalisi, known for her documentaries, who debuts in fiction feature. She wrote the script together with Chiara Cremaschi. The film is produced by the Italian Articolture with the Swiss Dok Mobile, the French Tomsa Films and the Albanian Art Film.
König der Wölfe (temporary title) is a biopic of the director and producer of Alto Adige Thomas Perathoner. The film is produced by Moviemento of Bolzano with the Orbrock Filmproduktion of Vienna.

Finally the funding for animated shot film production goes to Ciao, ciao aus Tokio, written and directed by Martin TelserI’m Not Nearly Cool Yet, written and directed by Anastazja Naumenko and developed during the first edition of MASO, the Short Film Training Programme created by IDM Film Commission Südtirol and produced by Blurred (Poland): A School Day, animated short film written and directed by Roberto Romano (Fantasmagorie Studio, Italy), Questo corpo, written and directed by Martina Melilli (Jump Cut and Careof, Italy); The Freezer, written and directed by Suraj Paudel, which was developed during the first edition of MASO (Underground Talkies, Nepal).
