The most traditional of TV programmes changes and tries to rejuvenate by adapting to smartphones to attract the youngest viewers. This all came out of the observation that the average age of a news programme audience, according to the records of NBC, is 64. Snapchat, that people under 35 years old like in 85% of cases, is ready to launch its version of news show in collaboration with NBC News. It will show three times a day: at 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the week and at 1 p.m. on weekends.It will also include updates throughout the day to cover breaking news. Every show will last a maximum of three minutes and every report, shot and graphic design will be tailored for a vertical video format to adapt to the smartphone screens. The show will include political and international news, as well as culture and society, but there will no longer be five topics covered per show. Every TV report will be complemented by tickets, captions of what is said, in order to avoid the audio if you are in crowded and noisy spaces (on a train, the subway or in waiting rooms). The show is called Stay Tuned and will be hosted by Savannah Sellers and Gadi Schwartz, with a thirty-person team. Stay Tuned will have two ten-second commercials to fund itself since the platform is a free social network.
