From October 12 to 17, Turin will host VIEW Conference, the international event dedicated to computer graphics, interactive technologies, digital cinema, 2D/3D animation, virtual and augmented reality, video games, and visual effects.
Long established as a meeting point between industry professionals and the general public, the event offers a unique opportunity to explore behind the scenes of the world’s most important productions.
Now in its 26th edition, the conference — directed by Maria Elena Gutierrez — is set to welcome world-renowned guests, from animation masters to leading experts in gaming, design, cultural heritage, and scientific imaging.
A week of workshops, talks, masterclasses, exhibitions, screenings, and presentations will explore new forms of digital expression, connecting Turin to a global network focused on technological innovation and digital creativity.
Among the featured guests are some of today’s most prominent animation directors, including Dean DeBlois, director of How to Train Your Dragon, and Domee Shi, Academy Award winner for the short Bao and director of Pixar’s Elio. Also attending are Alessandro Carloni, currently directing his upcoming film The Cat in the Hat for Warner Bros Animation, and Pierre Perifel, who will be joined on stage by VFX supervisor Matt Baer to reveal behind-the-scenes insights into The Bad Guys 2, the latest chapter in the DreamWorks saga.
Also expected are Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, directors of the Netflix hit K-Pop Demon Hunters, along with the team from Netflix, Sony Pictures Imageworks, and Kuku Studios, led by Alex Woo with Nicola Lavender and Sacha Kapijimpanga, who will present their film In Your Dreams.
