For the 73rd edition of the Trento Film Festival (April 25 – May 4), Trentino Film Commission confirms its support for the event, backing three documentaries in the official selection.

Competing in the main competition, Il canto del respiro by Simona Canonica takes viewers on a journey through four cultures to explore the origins of the vital breath.

In the Special Screenings section, Il codice del bosco by Alessandro Bernard and Paolo Ceretto will be showcased. This documentary blends science with a visionary approach to present groundbreaking experiments. The film will be released in cinemas on May 5, distributed by OpenDDB.

The Orizzonti Vicini section, dedicated to productions from the Trentino-Alto Adige region, will feature Nella pelle del drago by Katia Bernardi, a story of rebirth through art.

Beyond the film program, the Forward – Trentino Producers Lab returns from April 28 to May 2, offering training for emerging producers. On May 3, an industry day will include a panel on the balance between creativity and production, as well as a discussion on the strategic role of film festivals.

Finally, the festival will once again present the Green Film Award, recognizing the film that best embodies sustainability and environmental protection values in cinema.
