Born in 1970 in Munich, Philipp Kreuzer is a film producer, lawyer, and graduate of a film school. He has produced feature films, TV mini-series, and TV series, many of which were international co-productions. After studying law in Munich, literature in Paris, and film in Madrid, he began his career in film law firms in Germany and America. He then moved into film production and financing at The Film Consortium in London and MFP for Paramount Pictures. For four years, he served as a project manager at Eurimages, where he was responsible for numerous feature film co-productions funded by the organization. In 2005, Kreuzer joined the Bavaria Film Group, where he held various roles in production and management, including producer, head of distribution, co-production and financing, managing director of two Bavaria subsidiaries (Munich/Rome), and member of the group’s executive management team. In 2015, he co-founded Maze Pictures with producer Jörg Schulze, an independent production company based in Munich/Berlin specializing in film, TV, and digital content.Philipp Kreuzer publishes on film law and teaches at film schools in Spain, Germany, France, and Israel. From 2014 to 2018, he was a member of the selection committee of the Austrian Film Institute. He is also a member of the European and German Film Academies (Production Section), actively involved in film policy, served four years on the board of the German Producers Alliance, and currently chairs the supervisory board of German Films. In 2018, he was awarded Best Producer of the Free State of Bavaria for The Happy Prince (directed by Rupert Everett). He is fluent in five languages.
