The Atelier MFN 2025 call for projects returns: the first fund through which Milano Film Network supports the post-production of Italian feature films, facilitating their access to the market and to international film festival circuits.

The call is open to Italian feature films in post-production, directed by Italian filmmakers and presented by Italian production companies, or by directors who are sole proprietors or VAT-registered freelancers based in Italy. International co-productions are also eligible, even in cases where the Italian production company holds a minority share, provided the film is directed by an Italian filmmaker.

The finalist projects will be presented on November 18, 2025, in Milan at the MIC – Interactive Museum of Cinema, in front of an audience of festival directors, distributors, buyers, and commissioning editors from Italy and abroad. Each presentation will include the screening of up to 30 minutes of a work-in-progress cut, followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers and producers. The day will also include one-to-one meetings, and will conclude with the award ceremony for the post-production prizes offered by Milano Film Network in collaboration with its partners.

For the second year in a row, the BPER Prize will be confirmed as the main award of the fund: a €5,000 grant offered by BPER Banca to the best work in progress.

This 11th edition is organized in collaboration with Cineteca Milano, with the support of MIC – Directorate General for Cinema, the Municipality of Milan, Fondazione Cariplo, and BPER Banca.

The call for submissions is open until October 17. You can read the full regulations here.
