Italy’s Ministry of Culture has introduced a reallocation of public resources aimed at strengthening key cultural sectors, including film, audiovisual production and live performance.

Within this framework, the Cinema and Audiovisual Fund receives an additional €20 million, bringing its total allocation to €626 million. The increase reinforces the fund’s role as a central financial tool supporting film and audiovisual production in the country.

The measure is part of a broader adjustment of existing resources, combined with targeted investments to support the overall cultural system. Alongside sector funding, the plan also includes €6 million dedicated to reinforcing the Ministry’s administrative capacity through new hires.

The reallocation also addresses other cultural areas, with resources redirected to support live performance and opera, ensuring continuity for activities already planned and partially financed.

According to official indications, the intervention reflects a wider effort to optimize public spending while maintaining support for priority sectors. Further adjustments may follow, with the potential identification of additional resources aimed at sustaining production and industry professionals.
