From May 13 to 24, during the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, the Italian Pavilion reopens—an institutional space dedicated to Italian cinema and audiovisual production, designed, set up, and managed by Cinecittà in collaboration with the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Italian Ministry of Culture (DGCA-MiC) and ICE-Agency.

The Pavilion is hosted in two key locations: the Hotel Barrière Le Majestic (Salon Marta), which will feature professional meetings, press activities, and presentations; and Riviera A6-C1 at the Marché du Film, a central hub for sellers and industry professionals. A curated selection of Italian companies will be present to promote national productions to the international market.

The program includes thematic focuses, press conferences, networking sessions, and internationalization initiatives, such as bilateral meetings with professionals from France, the Baltic States, Latin America, Japan, and Hong Kong, aimed at strengthening co-productions and developing new collaboration strategies.

A highlight of this year’s calendar is the international presentation of the Italian Global Series Festival, a new event dedicated to TV series, which will take place in June between Rimini and Riccione. This will be an opportunity to introduce the festival to the international press and industry professionals, spotlighting a fresh project that broadens Italy’s presence in the serial content space.

As in previous years, the digital edition of the Italian Pavilion is also available via italianpavilion.it, hosted on the official Marché du Film platform. Visitors can access the full schedule of events, institutional materials, and the catalogue of Italian screenings at the Festival and the Market.

The Italian Pavilion reaffirms its role as a true “home” for the Italian and international audiovisual community—a key venue for showcasing the creative and production excellence of Italy to the world.
