Amazon and Apple are joining forces to offer a more seamless streaming experience. Starting later this month, Apple TV+ will be available as an add-on subscription for Prime Video users in the U.S. at $9.99 per month, Amazon announced. This move is part of Amazon’s broader strategy to enhance Prime Video by bundling various streaming services into one convenient platform.
Apple TV+ joins a lineup of over 100 subscription options already available through Prime Video, including Max, Paramount+, Crunchyroll, and MGM+. This partnership allows Prime Video users to access Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed shows and films.

Mike Hopkins, SVP and Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, emphasized the importance of offering diverse premium programming under one roof. He noted that this integration allows users to easily personalize their streaming experience.

For Apple, this partnership expands its reach to Amazon’s vast user base, which reportedly includes more than 200 million monthly Prime Video viewers globally. Eddy Cue, Apple’s SVP of services, expressed excitement, saying this deal brings Apple TV+ to more potential viewers than ever.

This collaboration represents a further strengthening of the relationship between Amazon and Apple, who are already partners in device compatibility. As Amazon continues to enhance the Prime Video interface and boost user engagement, this alliance solidifies its presence in the competitive streaming market.
