Eva Jakobsen holds a B.A. in Film- and Media Studies from the University of Copenhagen. Her previous work at Nimbus Film & Zentropa includes titles such as Valhalla Rising (Nicolas Winding Refn), Go With Peace Jamil (Omar Shargawi) & The Ambassador (Mads Brügger).
Eva was appointed Producer on the Move in 2014. She is a member of ACE Producers (ACE 25) and part of their mentoring- programme.
Her debut feature Ask Hasselbalch´s Antboy premiered at Toronto International Film Festival in 2013 while the sequel Revenge of the Red Fury was selected for Generation Kplus at Berlinale in 2015. Both won the Danish Academy Award for Best Children’s Film and were sold to more than 80 countries. In 2015 she co-founded the Copenhagen based production company Snowglobe with producers Mikkel Jersin and Katrin Pors.
Eva is, with the Snowglobe team, producing and co-producing numerous projects by some of the most esteemed directors and writers on the contemporary art house scene as well as nurturing first and second features by upcoming Danish filmmakers such as Jeanette Nordahl, Marianne Blicher, Ingeborg Topsøe and Martin Skovbjerg.
Recent projects include Ralitza Petrova´s multiple award winning Godless (Golden Leopard, Locarno FF 2016); Joachim Trier´s Cannes winner and academy award nominated: The Worst Person in the World (2021). In 2022, world premiering both Hlynur Pálmason´s: Godland and Maryam Touzani´s: The Blue Caftan as part of Official Selection: Un Certain Regard in Cannes.
