Alexis Hofmann holds degrees in modern literature and film history and studied at La Fémis.

After a stint at the CNC (National Center for Cinema and the Moving Image), he joined Haut Et Court Distribution and then Memento, where he focused on programming and marketing.

In 2006, he joined Bac Films as a programmer, becoming marketing manager in 2009 and then director of acquisitions from 2014 to 2025.
Since late 2025, he has been developing feature films in production alongside several French and international producers.

Alexis is also a lecturer and consultant for various film schools (including La Fémis and L’ESRA) as well as for French and international development workshops (such as Full Circle Lab, Pax Femina, Qumra…).
