Nella sezione dedicata alla miglior pellicola internazionale si conferma Matteo Garrone con Io Capitano che aveva già conquistato la nomination ai Golden Globes e ora approda nel Gotha del cinema mondiale con la candidatura per la prestigiosa statuetta.
