At the end of WWI, hundreds of wounded soldiers were sent to a military hospital, where two young doctors disagreed on how to treat them. Stefano wanted to send them back to the front, whereas Giulio was making them physically worse to send them home. Both were in love a nurse from their college days. When a European epidemic stroke, nobody really knew how to deal with the situation.
