Television as a medium was invented in part as a mean to advertise products to an audience. The advent of subscription TV has brought a sea change in the way we think about the medium with many pronouncing the death of AD-supported content. But is AD-supported Television dead or is there still a desire for free content provided in both a linear and on demand format. The panel will focus on the new landscape of AD-supported TV from AVOD to FAST to hybrid SVOD/AVOD models, what role advanced analytics can play, and how the origins of television may provide a window into the future of the medium.
